I live in Leeds and would love to know where this lake is so i can head there and attempt to catch this monster Pike, however something tells me i have more chance of catching the Loch Ness Monster! I'm guessing its a fake picture....

i know where it is mate but i think thats what the owner has in mind .... you think abiout it you tell the world there is a 57lber in this yorkshire lake everyone will want to come fish it .... it in my opinion is a publicity stunt... to get more anglers on there ok look at it this way also if it is 57lb why has it not come out at 20, 30, 40lbs ??? surely some one would have had it at a lower weight and "Especially" on a 1.2acre pond

Re: 57lb British Record Pike
The lad had some guts to try pulling the wool over peoples eyes, both pictures are identical, the hands are placed the same, and even all markings are 110% the same.
....What a plonker....but dam he got some publicity from it.

I doubt that any of the pike anglers on here would want that type of publicity. No ones ever going to belive him, even if he does one day catch a really big fish. He's going to be the laughing stock for a while I think, and serves him right for being a total d...k

The lad who caught it has owned up to it being a fake, and Paul Gustafson has confirmed it was his fish in the picture.
