but a while back i found this on the inernet i think this is the world record but i might be wrong i normally am when it comes to stuff like this
its in excess of 50lb

That top picture is just fecking rediculous, but the one below with ol big hands, and they are, big hands , is the real world record. The current world record northern pike is a 55 pounder (25kg) caught by Lothar Louis of Germany in 1986 Huge pike are being caught throughout Canada and the Europe that could be potential records.

I know I take the piss with the big hands but apparently he is actually a very tall man of about 6ft 4" so he will have big hands, I cant imagine landing a pike of that size, its just mental

One thing i didnt think canada actually had big northern pike compared to the sizes we can catch here in the uk ? aint a 20 over the pond like the fish of a lifetime?

That's my understanding of Canadian Northerns Chris. I know Muskies and Tigers can grow to enormous sizes but I was positive Northerns only grew to mid-double size at best and a 20 would be something quite special.

It is in Yorkshire aswell
