i agree about the pike being thrown in bushes stotty, discracefull. i think its something that is on the decrease tho due to better educating
I still see it on club waters where match fishing is the No. one priority. Those that know me know I will fish for anything that swims I am happy with a float rod a quiver tip or sitting behind my alarms and 3 rods having a glass of wine with my mates. I fish matches for work and I have to admit the worst people for fish care are match anglers they tend to be the ones killing the pike the ones throwing large carp into keep nets and as for the throwing the 100lb+ bag of fish into the weigh sling then back into the water I have to bite my tong some times.

Todd,
Sorry but dont know ya but heard quite a bit about you...
I fish in matches and run a team... bit of a busy boy really as I am a manager of a fishing club with 6 lakes and a river....
I see weekly fish being rolled down nets and dumped into lakes.. agreed there is some careful anglers and now fishery management is guarding against this finally..
No death of any fish is acceptable and this is being accepted by matchmen who only care about weight and not the fish.
anyway
Peace and Love...
