what thickness line for pikeing?

spot on 15lb mono providing the water isnt too snaggy will be fine, if it has big rocks ford escorts hiding under the surface though step the line up to 20lb mono for bait fishing, or get hold of some 50lb powerpro braid and use it for everything

50lb id never be able to carry it lol any specific make mate i mite as well do it propperly if im gunna do it at all

I have used it for my long range carp fishing for 2 years now. It's still the same stuff on the spools and as good as the day it went on

I use a uni-uni knot for joing my backing to my braid. I feel pretty comfortable knowing little will happen if I ever have a fish on while down at the knot.
