IN LINE RUNNING LEAD....
Anyone who uses these set ups (probably most of us at sometime)
i like inlines and this enabled me to fish it better, it gives you the instant option to turn it into a semi fixed bolt rig into a running rig, while being safe.
First thing to mention is that i use Korda inline stuff, no other reason other than it suits the fishing. im sure other products will enable you to do the same.
You need a good inline with hard insert and a pack of rubber inline inserts.
Remove the hard insert from the lead.
Then cut the larger end leaving about 3-4mm attached to the slim bit.
Now do the same with the rubber insert.
Next insert the hard plastic slim bit back into the lead and then bore out the large bore a little, this is easy with lead.
The thicker rubber bit should now fit snug into the bore but be able to come out with a bit of pressure.
Next take a size 8 swivel, i prefer a big ring eye, to a normal or ring swivel.
Its should all fit together just like this.
Just thread together.
If you require a running system then just push the rubber in slightly, this will be fine on the cat and act as a running inline.
If you need to fish it semi fixed, simply push the rubber into the bore so it nips, this will act as a bolt rig but will come off if snapped.
This rig can also be adapted quickly to make it a drop off for heavy weed or snaggy conditions. I find it more effective than just pusing a swivel into the bore due to the supple rubber and the way it give leverage on the take.
Hope this helps ,
