Re: calder river pike
quick tip 4 ya storm naturalisticz......
get some clear silicon glue and a small paint brush.
cover the storm lure lightly in the silicon, once its set it will giv ya lure loads more life as it toughens them up loads!! i use it on most of our small rubber lures! stops jacks whippin the tails off them :!:
hope that saves ya some cash

Re: calder river pike
earlsheaton charity anglers .... i joined last year after having been stalked by said bailiff a couple of times , it was weird because i never saw him again and i was down there a lot last year . It was only £10 for the book , phone number of Les on the gate to the mill carpark downstream of the weir , their match weights are roughly double those of mirfield ..... it's a nice stretch Ryan but they ask that you kill all jacks under 4lb and they have had hundreds and hundreds ...... go down any saturday before a match ( every other sunday ) and be sickened as they come out in force to kill the pike ...it's put me off 'em and i haven't rejoined . However , last christmas i saw salmon jumping that weir 19 attempts in an hour
big brownies too and nice bream , as woody says there is the odd beast kicking about in that stretch
