Back on the river..

Well lads I am out on the boat on Saturday for the first time since my bad back, I cant wait

and i,m down at poo city tomorrow....

I will try and pop in and see you Nidge

i,m only going to test out my braided spools...... oh and my diawa infinity reels..............

I am going to take a load of pictures on Saturady of the boat and how the finder works ect ect and maybe a few pictures of pike

would be nice ady, the weathers not looking too good for the weekend though.............strong winds and heavy rain....

yup its not going to be a brilliant week end for weather but i hope the fish play ball i,m out myself hope my bivvy don,t blow away

imagine having to go for a pee when the winds blowing..... come back you dam thing......

now that would be funny not!! but on the fens when the wind blows on there it never seems to be any thing less than gale force

just make sure you pee down wind, other wise your hands would be warm......

Well lads, I fished the river for the first time since I put the back out :oops:

We arrived at 6.30am to find the water carrying a bit of colour which is not too much of an issue as long as the sun comes out which it did for about an hour , however we did manage a few fish between us, my mate kev fished with the light rod and lures and I went all out with the 22" maxigrub tail for the larger fish, the final count was 21 pike whcih sounds great but only two of the fish where over 10lbs but thats fishing. Kev managed a few nice perch and a number of jacks but the fishing was generally hard, we have decided that the next time we fish the river it will be with deadbaits, in the deeper holes that we find on the finder.

it still a good days fishing regardless of size well done woody and co

but doesn,t matter how many pike you catch now we know you are now a full fledged carper

It ok mate them pike wont hurt your back so much lifting them
