£30 each for permit and boat hire (2 to a boat) . i'm going to see if i can just fish off the bank as i am more than happy to catch the buggers off bank its just the whole boat thing and finding them that i'm more concerned with.

Re: resivoir pike
if your unsure of what lures to take keep it simple
something like an 8 inch soft bait replicant style or big grubs with juigs heads to suit
00 kussamo professor (much underrated andrelativly easy to work)
unless you want to spend a fortune then true jerkbaits are out of the equation

Arlesford, it's their new water that was originally for Cemex plus members only. Due to what I believe was lack of support for that particular ticket its now a day ticket water open to all. There's some nice Carp in there.

as it happs i caught my best lure caught pike on a soft lure with a big tail this one is a Super Sandras Available in 3 sizes - 12, 16 and 23cm. Excellent for just about all predatory species small ones for jacks and perch (work well jigged
the bigger ones for bigger fish
12cm, 12g 75p
16cm, 23g £2
23cm, 80g £5
As for "unless you want to spend a fortune then true jerkbaits" Woody has got me onto this one just bought my first COBB's

Re: resivoir pike
yeah well he likes replicants
and they are cheating
in all honesty they dont do anything other lures i have dont already cover
and the ones i have are cheaper which helps ok some (the old ace lures i have) dont have the etex outer the only other thing is they do what they are supposed to unlike some of the ace ones
oh i suppose teh cobbs badge plays a part in the appeal they have as well
