why are catfish so hard to catch Empty why are catfish so hard to catch

there is two main reasons why catfish are so hard to catch the main one is that they binge feed they tend to lay up and then when they get hungry thy stock up on enough food to last them about a week then go and lay up again. the other reason for them being hard to catch is that they are verry good at abandoning runs this is because they are shy biters and as soon as they feel any resistance from a lead they drop the bait. the way around this is using verry small leads and running rigs i personally use 1oz leads and running rigs for my cat fishing.
