My Bait : GETTING OUT IF AND WHEN POSSIBLE...
Re: help with piking
if you want to learn a bit about piking and dont mind a drive
linky thing
on the day there will be Eric Edwards Jon Neafcy Gary Knowles (possibly that hasnt been confirmed as yet) me amongst others
you wont get more anglers who have captured thirties (and at least one 40) anywhere (except the pac convention) in such a small area.

Re: help with piking
right guys ,i picked up my ugly stik yesterday ,put some 10lb line on my twinpower (hope this will be enough ,its all i had in garage),so am getting ready for that first day out ,have a few traces ,couple of spinners (don't think there right good)a surface lure and one of them dangerous looking hook things for putting dead bait on i think ?
am i ready guys ? don't have a particulary large landing net though have seen you pro's chinning em out but am a joiner so value my fingers lol nidgemac ,think you said you knew a place near you so whenever you next got some free tome to show me a few things mate ,would be a appreciated

if your only using small spinners and dont have a suitable net take the trebles of and use something like a drennan super specialist (single) for extra unhooking ease use the barbless version they also come out of your hand far easier.
the 10lb mono isnt ideal braid has revolutionised lure fishing for smaller lures try something around 20-30lb ive got a braid by penn for this but there are loads out there now
take some side cutters as well as long nosed pliers for unhooking and a mat
