Holy S**t Woody, $100 for a lure, they do look sweet as though, and have quite an impressive range.

Re: My new lure is on its way
I know that $100 may sound a bit exspensive but with the current exchange rate its not overpriced for a handmade lure of that quality, I may not have it for the social but I will fetch my other two muskysnax to Lakeside and show you how good they are

As soon as noodle said that, I instantly went and had a look at it, its a small round blob of plastic with a bill, its the kind of lure you get in a starter pack.

Re: My new lure is on its way
They are a bit cheap and plastic but there still great lures especially on canals and shallow venues and have caught feck loads of big pike, every lure has its day I had a bright orange one and it was amazing on rivers

Re: My new lure is on its way
a lot of the lures people rate tend to be cheap and plasticky look at burts how badly are they made i only own one and thats more than enough. only thing is i cant get rid incse it does the buisness on one of the Trout waters round here
Re: My new lure is on its way
I just cant get on with berts either John, I have just got my first Manta from Slippy (Cheers mate your a star) and I have heard nothing but great things about them. There are some lures that you just know will catch you fish and I think the Manta is one of them

Re: My new lure is on its way
Although I dont think I have the shakespeare one, I do, in my old plug collection, have quite a variety of the "fat plug" type lures, and did even manage my first few jacks on it. I dont use them any more, as I got converted to jerkbaits.
I meant no offence with my chortling at the "Big S", just when you compare it aesthetically to the muskysnax, there's no comparrison.

i was only taking the wee mate lol
i couldnt even cast one of those musy snax things in all honesty lures tend to get trashed so i aim at the cheaper end of the market the likes of ace lures and fox ones as im happy taking them to bits and reweighting gluing them etc im gutted at how much im having to pay for trolling lures now things like depthraiders etc anywhere between 12-15 quid each
Re: My new lure is on its way
I splashed out again yesterday on Tacklebargains salmo offer, (i know they dont give free salmo's)
I ordered just over £40 of a variety of large salmo's, so hopefully should get quite a wide selection of shad, spinnerbaits and other asorted free lures.
Good times

Re: My new lure is on its way
It is weird how we as lure anglers grow up with our lures.
At the begining we start with egg whisks, plugs and spinners.
Then we buy a crapyy John Wilson Six Shooter and some bigger plugs and Fox Jerkbaits.
Then when your all grown up you buy 10 lure rods and Shimano/Abu (Penn, thats just for you John ) and replicants, exspensive jerkbaits and spinner baits (Not for John)
Thats it the life of a lure angler, from start to finish
