I love autumn and spring but it’s the dark I think gets me down more than anything in the winter. You go to work its dark go home its dark as a lot of you know I like a little bit of fishing and I just love that getting home from work throwing the rod in the car shooting down the road to my little club lake and fishing to 10.00pm :sunny:

a fully scaled mirror is a lovely fish , never caught one myself but here's hoping.

nidge i've had some memorable days stalking chub on the shallow areas on the avon near cov , like you say it's the catching that matters,

mind you i've blanked at coombe fishing for carp , but to wake up at dawn with a mist hanging over the water and the sun just creeping over the tree's is what it's all about ( that and the full breky and mug of tea cooked on the lakeside :Fishing: )

They are stunning fish had a few fully scaled but then again I think some of the old estate lake commons I have caught are stunning a completely different type of fish. To the run of the mill fish you get out of your average day ticket water. I just like mint carp It breaks my heart when you see them with there faces smashed off
