Fished on the Ouse this weekend for Salmon and this little fellow came to see me

Cracking pike bait ! did you manage to catch anything on it ???

:cry: Its only a matter of time :evil: Its an orphen because I saw it last weekend on its own so I had taken some bread for it on Saturday and it came upto the boat and jumped on my hand If you look behind me in the picture there is a 24ft hole thats got to be holding a couple of 20lbers they must be watching its every move at the moment he will make it to feathers

No Salmon Gaz on the last two visits, we are told they are there in good numbers but we have tried everything with no success
I had 1 Chub, 27 Perch and 34 Pike to 11lb 10oz but the Salmon are not showing, dont think I will bother getting the permit next year

aye it will also save you an environment licence for salmon too, i take it you were spinning, did you not try the fly??

Thats what I have got Gaz, We use small plugs and spinners, most people use 10cm plugs but they scream out pike to me and we are using light gear so its a little unfair.

Then you won't be able to "accidentally" catch specimen Chub and Perch will you?
