Not being a lure tart or collector of fine lures I run with what I know has caught me fish over the years.

Simple for me

salmo slider great top water lure caugh loads on them

Strike Pro Buster Jerk Dirty Roach always have two of these in stock

and last of all a Ondex or orange Meps get out of jail free card perch love them jacks love them 2

1) Salmo slider in Roach pattern. why: Because it catches loads of pike.
2) Scum frog (dark green has been my favourite) why: catches a lot of pike, and being a weedless surface lure, can fish through any surface cover, and the strikes are great fun.
3) Savage gear 4play (not tried the softs yet) why: great swim action, and catches a hell of a lot of pike, which,is what its all about king

And for luck...
4) Mepps. Deadly for predators, pike and perch absolutely nail them.

Chances are,if the water you fished is anything like myself, and possibly the rest of the lads on here do, then the pike have/are spawning,so wont be thinking about chasing lures right now,in which case you should really leave them be. I know I sure wouldn't appreciated being dragged from out of my bed having a bit of Gaz
Not the cheapest place,but for lures,and a great selection,check out http://www.harrissportsmail.com/

1) 7" Cobbs Countdown (Any Colour)

2) 8" Fox Replicant (Any Colour)

3) 18" Maxigrub

I have caught so many fish on the above, at least triple figures all everyone of them they just have to be a first, second or third pick everytime.

the thing with lures is, you have a lure which catches you loads of fish on day a, so you put it on straight away on day b and catch a few more, on day c the fish are not really on it but you persavere with said lure and end up catching on it when all else fails. this means by day d you have un-dieing faith in the lure so cast it no matter what and end up catching on it regardless of wheather the fish want it or not, so by day e you throw it more often than any other lure thus increasing its chances of success.
