tattygun wrote:they really are stunning great inspiration with me building lures now
some of what i presume are jigs are highly unusual too, the craftsmanship is unreal
Most of them are jigs.... I use them back here in really deep water... very effective if used with a fish finder to narrow down the hunting area!!! As far as the franken series goes... all i can say is that there are as many varieties of lures out there as there are anglers!!!
Tight lines,

Re: strange lures
Little borig night and time to make little "adventures" at internet and then i found this thread.....
Well, i have maker of Frankenstains and some other fishskinlures
Frankenstains are only decoy's and other my skinlures are for fishing and these are covered by special lure varnish, so skins dont smell thru like someone thoght at this thread earlier.
I have lot of diffrent models: specialities for icefishing, lightened spoons, minnows, surfacemodels....what i like to make
Little taste of latest ones:
I have lot of pic's at my website...but i'm not sure that can i promote it straight at here, so little hint:
Google helps, my name and fishskinlures.
If you have some questions, im try to answer allmost all.......there is and will be some secrets

Re: strange lures
There's a lot of nice lures out there but these are on whole new level. To my mind, especially the lures with patterned lips, aren't just lures but art.

Re: strange lures
some of those are awesome. i especially like the look of the ones that look like they have been attacked by something with a bit missing, the bones sticking out are a nice touch. and those lighter coloured perch look incredibly realistic and the sturgeon looking ones are a good likeness too.
what sort of prices would i be looking at for some of the ones i have mensioned?

Re: strange lures
Some very nice lures there, I'm liking the brass spoon type things at the top, and the finish on the perch cranks at the bottom is first rate.

My Bait : Squirrley Burt - its Squirrley!
Re: strange lures
Basic painted/flaked starts from 13€/each (including cranks, cos these are maked to plastic-body), basic fishskins from 15€/each, sturgeons from 20€/each (with head 45€).
These is few unique decoys/art-lures and the starts from 60€/each and allmost all of these are maked straight to customer and sold.
I know that these are more expesive that "normal" lures, but quality and handmaking costs alot.
Btw, couple teaser:
