make your own chilli/curry freezer boilies
the other day i was experementing making some boilies with chilli powder for when i go to welham lake.
I must say i was quite happy with myself when i finished.
So what you need.
-plain flour.
-dry dog food or pellets.
-cooking oil
-eggs
-curry powder
-FIRST OF ALL GET 2 CUPS OF DOGFOOD/PELLETS AND BLEND THEM UP INTO VERY FINE PIECES.
THEN PUT IT IN A BIG MIXING BOWL.
-THEN ADD 2 CUPS OF PLAIN FLOUR AND MIX IT ALL TOGETHER TO MAKE IT NICE AND SMOOTH AND POWDERY.
-THEN ADD AS MUCH CURRY POWDER AS YOU WANT (GO CRAZY) THE MORE THE MERRIER.
-BLEND 2 EGGS WITH THE SHELLS STILL ON AND KEEP BLENDING UNTIL THE BITS OF SHELL ARE NICE AND SMALL.
-THEN ADD ANY FOOD COLOURING YOU WANT ( I USE RED) AND ONE TEASPOON OF COOKING OIL PUT THE BLENDED EGG INTO ANOTHER BOWL AND KEEP ADDING THE BASE MIX AND STIR IT IN UNTIL IT IS A WORKABLE PASTE THEN STOP ADDING EGG.
-THEN WORK IT INTO A NICE DOUGH TYPE PASTE AND MAKE IT INTO BALLS OR BARRELS OF ANY SIZE YOU WANT.
-WHEN THEY ARE ALL ROLLED BOIL THEM UNTIL THEY FLOAT THEN TAKE THE FLOATING ONES OUT OF THE WATER AND PUT THEM ON A CLOTH TO DRY OUT
(WHEN THEY ARE DONE THEY WILL FLOAT BUT THESE BOILIES DO SINK THEY ARE NOT POPUPS)
_WHEN THEY ARE ALL DONE LEAVE ON A CLOTH TO DRY OUT FOR 5 MINITS SO THEY HARDEN THEN BAG EM UP AND PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER UNTIL YOU NEED THEM TO CATCH A SPECIMIN.
-SO THERE YOU GO HOME MADE CURRY BOILIES PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU HAVE MADE THEM AND TELL ME HOW THEY ARE AND EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE CAUGHT ANYTHING ON THEM.
THE CARP ON MY PROFILE PICTURE WAS CAUGHT ON THESE.
TIGHT LINES UNLESS YOU ARE SLACK LINING.

Bobbie,
I leave my boilies out on an air tray, so the air can circulate around them, stops there been damp patches on the boiles, and i also leave them out for at least 6 hours before freezing.

Curry and chilly boilies
For dry mix I use curry powder, paprika, chopped dry chillies,8 oz semolina,4oz soya flour,4oz ground rice, mix it in a bowl, then mix 4 eggs with dark soya source and red food colouring mix the two together, boil for a couple of minutes put on a tray on a bed of salt and while still wet cover with more curry powder, not tried them yet but they smell like a Indian takaway,
