PAC membership
Hi guys
I am considering joining the PAC and then hopefully attend some of the local meetings [wakefield]
How many members on here are members - who has attended meetings in the past?
any thoughts on PAC membership and the meetings appreciated.

Re: PAC membership
I've only heard good things about the PAC, doing their bit to end the days of old 'bash the pike' mentality which is so outdated and unnecessary in my opinion.
I've not done the PAC website trawl fully but it all looks like a well run club with good intentions. Genuinely care about the sport and dedicate a lot of time to raise awareness in the handling and well-being of the fish.
I know there are a few members on here and I'm sure they'll be on to advise the quality of the talks and maybe a bit of info on the waters they offer rights on.
The website is http://www.pacgb.co.uk/

Re: PAC membership
Joining the PAC can only be a good thing for Pike fishing and the Pikes welfare, we are talking about the fish that gets abused more than any other fish in our waters, sad fact but true.
The PAC has other advantages like privileged access to trout waters, a quarterly magazine and club outings. Peter Green (Mark Greens dad) runs the Wakefield region, a nicer guy you will struggle to meet and the region is very well run. I have been to a number talks at a number of regions and they are all worth a visit.

Re: PAC membership
do you have to join a certian region to fish fairburn? i'm sure i read in thier mag that some of the local lads were complaining that other regions had rights to thier local waters but they couldn't fish it themselves? i could be wrong and probably am but i'm sure i read something like that somewhere
