Re: It happened to me!!!
Hi lads,
Met Mark & Healdy recently who told me about this site so I thought I would give it a visit.
Been Piking for thirteen years now mostly in Yorkshire, I prefer river fishing from bank & boat and only tend to fish still waters when the rivers are wrecked or only out for a short session. I have been fishing Coniston in the Lake district as well but this is very hard going and am thinking of moving on to Windermere.
Been fishing for 50 years and fish for most species throughout the year using most methods fly/lure/float and recently started sea fishing occasionally.
The great thing about angling is the anglers____ I find most anglers are happy to chat and swap info, I have made several really good friends from having the odd word on the bank which leads to the pooling of info / tactics and venues.
Not many lumps up here in Yorkshire and in thirteen years I've only had six twenties, all river fish, the biggest 23lb 8oz (avatar) caught this week from the river Ure on a Sardine, only fish of the day but what a fish ! The photo dose not do it justice, weighed on two sets of scales with the same result, ah! well onward and upwards.
Tight lines lads, regards Keith.
