THE METHOD SET UP......
1) Thread the main line through the top of the method feeder, this will be the end where the tubing is extended away from the feeder. I use a Fox in-line as I find these to be strong and robust and very well made.
2) Now tie on your swivel/quick change bead.
3) The swivel will allow the set up to become semi fixed, because this is inserted into the rubber grommet in the base of the feeder which creates the semi- fixed bolt rig set up, where as the quick change bead converts it to a running rig .
4) Now attach your chosen hook length, i attach mine by using the loop to loop method, and that's it ready to go!
How to use a Method feeder for ground bait or pellets
I have used both of this baits in conjunction with a method feeder for a while now, they both have there uses on the day. First up is the Pellet method for this I use the new Dynamite baits swim stim green micro 1mm feed pellets, pour approx half a bag into a 2 pint bait tub then cover the pellets with water, now leave for about 5-15 minutes, now drain the water off, now the pellets are now ready to use. I use either the fox or Korum Method feeders for all my method work as they are strong and well made, to load the feeder take a small handful of pellets in your left hand and press the feeder into the pellets using your right hand and then squeeze the pellets on to the feeder using your left hand, then I turn the feeder over so the pellets are on top, now place your hair rigged hook bait onto another handful of pellets (about half as many as before as this forms the outer coating) into your hand and lay the hook bait on top, now press the feeder into the feeder like you did at the start, now gently y squeeze it all together, Don’t squeeze to hard or you may damage the hook bait if it is a soft bait.
now cast out and wait for that tip to fly round. I use the pellet feeder more so in winter when I don’t want to use ground bait just leave a small pile of bait around my hook bait, but I do use this in summer especially on venues where the fish respond to loose feed pellet rather than ground bait, I like to use a small to medium sized feeder for this method as I don’t want to other feed the pellets causing the fish to become pre-occupied with them.
(See pictures below of how to load the feeder and under water action pictures).
Place softened pellets in your palm of left or right hand.
Now place the feeder onto the pile of pellets (weight at top) and push the feeder into the ground bait.
Now take another small handful of pellets, now place the hook length and hook bait onto the pellets.
Once again push the feeder into the pellets, do it this time with slightly less pressure.
The completed method ball, just trim of the excess and that's it.
The bait and hook are exposed in under 45 seconds.
Now onto the Normal ground bait method feeder, this is the one for the summer on some venues its simply devastating, to make the ground bait mix pour 1 & ½ bags of special (G)/Dynamites swim stim green or original into a mixing bowl , then add the water slowly while whisking with your hands to work in the water evenly, continue to do this until the bait becomes fine and fluffy and you can form balls which when rubbed through your fingers will fall apart fairly easily, I don’t like a to sticky method mix because I like the fish to be able to break the ball up quickly and get to the treat inside, for added attraction and to sustain the fish in the swim but not other feed them add either micros or 4mm pellets to the mix and a few pieces of corn (not to much ), this is the one method I use for 90 % of my summer feeder work, I just love the way the rod smashes round when the fish finds the hook bait!, when using the ground bait method instead of the pellet option I will step up to a larger feeder if the fish are really having it on the day. When fishing the pellet/ground bait method feeder I will always fish with a hook length of no longer than 4 inches and always use hair rigged bait using either a fixed or running rig depending on the fishery rules. (See pictures below showing the ground bait method and how to load it on to the feeder)

Re: THE METHOD SET UP......
a few of you know... groundbait is my thing..
ok the hard ware has been shown etc etc..
the most important thing with this fishing is the accuracy of cast and also the mix of ground bait..
you all have your faves but for this type of feeder work a good method mix is excellent but run it through a blender first to get is smooth...
for best results always mix your groundbait the night beofre with water and oils/flavours...
your first mix is best done in a bucket and add the water etc slowly.. mixing fast a furios lifting the mix and whisking with your fingers spread open wide.. this is to get a good mix of air etc...
now leave for an hour..
come back to it and you will be surprised how dry it has become..
but now add your liquid slower as the mix will bind so fast....
again mix as above introducing as much air a possible and break down any lumps...
now depending on your mixing skills you may now need to run the mix through a riddle to finish...
THIS ALL SOUNDS LIKE TO MUCK WORK... BUT I HAVE EMPTIED LAKES WHEN USING THE SAME GROUNDBAIT AS OTHER PEOPLE ON THE LAKE.. JUST PREPARED WITH CARE AND ATTENTION.
unlike fishing the proper method feed where you have a solid ball of bait where the carp attack the ball.. this method of inline feeder work the mix must be fluffy so that when it settles on the lakebed it breaksdown within 90seconds exposing your single hookbait...
simply DEADLY...

Re: THE METHOD SET UP......
yeah i'm passionate about my groundbaits too, i love the feel of cool fluffy groundbait, i'm always tossing it around getting the air into it. i add my flavours to the water though then add the water to the groundbait. its nice to expriment n truy new things, one good old favourite is green swimstim and sweetcorn, the contrasting colours are very appealing to me but i'd say its so effective due to the betain in the groundbait, its supposed to trigger fish into feeding

Re: THE METHOD SET UP......
the method is sadly a very under rated way of fishing nowadays with all the fancy rigs about, its simple & very effective i used to use it with vitalin & mollases with demon results 20 or so years ago
