i use pedigree mixers,Put in a freezer bag, squirt in some scopex then shake till biscuits covered, then add half a cup of boiling water.shake again then leave till the biscuits go rubbery.Gives em a bit more weight for firing out. They like em on the waters i try.

Re: whats the best dog biscuits (mixers)
chum mixers are the bollox craig, scrape a line out on one side but keep the dust , place the hook inside then dab a tiny bit of glue on top of the hook and cover with the dust of the broken buscuit let it set and away ya go, its a sorted way of presenting a mixer, i use it on the beach caster rig cos then you have no line in the water to spook the fish.
hope this helps mate.

Like the idea of that Jimmy anything to a hook deserves some rep
Re: whats the best dog biscuits (mixers)
chum mixers work well on there own but adding some smaller floating biscuits that are different in size and shapes with your chum mixers will just confuse the fish abit and also adding food colours such as green and red food colouring to a few will again make it harder for the carp to recognise which ones your hook bait

its a cracking rig dan, give it a try, espescialy on the beachcaster it keeps everything out of the water even the hook length, and your mixer sits on top of the water like a freebie with the hook above it.

ive never been a big fan of dog chow and always prefered bread but ive been giving them a go lately and alough ive not actualy managed to land anything on them yet ive been amazed at how quick the fish become aware of them and how much they single those out over standard mixer.
