Keeping lobs fresh? Empty Keeping lobs fresh?

Had a tub of lobs for 2 weeks now (the only good part of having to do the garden) any tips for keeping them in good condition? Got a bit of soil in there and a few dead leaves but that's it.

I think John Wilson keeps them in a wooden box filled with wet Newpaper, and he rotates them every other week or something like that scratch
