New Rods for the boat.
Since getting the boat I have been using my 12ft Greys X-Flites, although they are great rods they are too long for boat fishing so I have just bought two Greys Prowla Platinum 10ft 6" Boat rods. being from the Greys camp they must be quality so hopefully I will find out very soon, they will also be great for river and canal fishing

Here is the spec of the rod
Prowla Boat Rod 10'6"
This Prowla 10ft 6ins boat rod has been designed from high spec carbon to give an ultra slim but powerful blank. It has nine SIC braid safe rings large enough to cope with stop knots and heavy lines. The rod folds exactly in half, ring to ring, for easy setting up and packing away, whilst the slim cork handle with non-slip duplon grip will sit neatly in a boat rest. This rod lends itself for use with either a fixed spool or multiplier reel, and is a superb all-round boat rod for drifter, trolling or dead bait fishing. Ideal on lochs, lakes, rivers, broads or reservoirs it will allow you to hook and hold big fish in deep water yet, on the other hand, has a fantastic through action that allows you to fish close to the boat on a shallow broad or in a weedy bay. It's flexible enough for you to use with big dead baits on a snaggy river or fen drain and, at 10ft 6ins, is the optimum length for playing big pike around the boat helping you to keep them away from anchor ropes or drogue lines.
Ultra slim high modulus carbon blank
SIC braid safe guides with braid safe underslung tip ring

Re: New Rods for the boat.
i have not had the balls to use em yet but at 30 quid i couldnt say no
glass blanks (not sure whose)
fuji bhng or whatever the luminous green ones are and a fuji reel seat
tbh they dont feel as heavy as i thought they would i i suspect they may make a good trolling rod for things like bigfoots and other big cranks as well as being able to chuck big deads
