Pellet Cone(ish) Empty Pellet Cone(ish)

Hello,

ive just been watching 'Fishing Gurus' on Discovery Shed. they were talking about using the pellet cone in conjunction with a hair-rigged pellet and straight lead for matching fishing. this looked a bit fiddly and slow for me. i just wondered why i cant just mould a ball of damp pellets around the hair-rigged pellet instead of using the cone and breaking the rig down every time....any ideas?

You can do just that. Just make sure the pellets are damp enough to bind together. You could also grind them down to make a paste, but that can be bought in tackle shops.

the idea looks good but id be too worried the hook point has dug into a pellet on the cast and is masking the point.
