reelax charters

John Steele joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16, completed a Clearance Divers course in Portsmouth at 17 & became the youngest Clearance diver in the Navy. Drafted to bomb & mine disposal teams & a Minehunter (HMS Wilton) then left in '82.

Worked as a commercial diver on oil rigs & barges offshore for 23 years in many different countries & Iraq for over 3 years for a private security company.

Moved to Stockholm in the Spring of '95.

Completed courses in Navigation/Radar/Radio, Medic, Firefighting & Sea Survival... Bought the boat, equipped it with state of the art navigation, safety & fishing equipment & started my own business in Stockholm "Aquatek Services"......

During all of my working life i have spent as much time as possible "on the water" & have found nowhere as good as Sweden for the variation of fishing possibilities.

Fancy a holiday fishing with John i have booke up this year take a look at the link

I knew you Were ex forces John but didn't realise you Were an ex Navy diver! I have a mate from another forum who is still a Navy diver and has just come back from a nice winter session in Norway. He is based in Portsmouth. He showed me this vid of a French diving team he once worked with:

http://www.break.com/index/huge_under_water_explosion.html
They detonated an old WW2 German mine but didn't realise that it was sitting on a barge just full of them! affraid

He says he has the full vid at home and they were OK just covered in a bit of debris!
Life is what you make it, so it's your own fault!

Ok, i used to live next to 2 X 155mm noisy B*#tards in Mosul for 4 months before i went to Baghdad, I enjoyed watching the illum. rounds going out over the town (straight over my grot!!) & the smallarms fireworks display afterwards :)
