Get on the Goo...? Empty Get on the Goo...?

Post by spatch Sat Apr 28, 2012 7:34 pm

Hi.. Hi

Well this stuff from Korda seems to be the thing at the moment, everyone seems to be 'on it', sheep-style. But I've heard a load of bad as well as the good about the product (especially about the £12 pricetag for a small bottle!!! Jaw Drop ). So basically, I've read a lot of interesting stuff about this stuff, so thought I'd get something going on here... so yeah, anyone used it? Anyone know someone hows used it? Anyone planning to use it.. Question I know I won't be for that price anyhow...

....loving these smilies by the ways.....any excuse to get them in and I'm there... HaHaHa smugf1shing

it just seems to me to be the latest "must have" fad in carp fishing. just like most miracle baits it will run its corce and then the will "refind" a classic like sweetcorn..... but now with chilli and cous cous exploding bait trail - or something!

just let it ride out mate and do what you know works for you and your venue.

ive only really been fishing for 2 years and even im sick of the new fad products, i just ignore them till they have been used and abused and properly tested by other anglers who dont have affiliations.

But that said i know very little about it give it a shout but i can think of many other baits i could get for £12 lol.

Not used it.. not sure if i would ever use it.. if i'm honest.. am just not a follower of new stuff...

On a couple of the other forums.. apprently this has been banned from a few fishery's due to GOO's base mix, using some banned substances... which could be harmful to the fish etc...... Suspect

I did use the goo at riverton with not much result maybe the water was too murky but there was a green patch on the surface after casting.

Yeah....be interesting to see it on the next Korda Underwater DVD. They've been filiming one at linear and using a lot of the goo apparentely. I've seen it on a few carping blogs on youtube already though and I think it looks like horrible stuff. Like you said, it forms a green slick on the surface, doesn't look the heathliest thing in the world for the fish, so is definately not for me at the mo. This DVD's going to have to be pretty good to change my mind! :p

A slick can be a good thing but just use high oily baits fish in groundbait oil to mix with ect. Deadly in the summer think ill give it a miss though.

Well i used the goo again this weekend i did catch the carp when i was using it but i'm not convinced it's doing it on it's own or the boilies are doing the catching of the carp,
but maybe it did help with the green slick rising to the surface.
