recomendations for a descent weedles surface lure ??

needing weedless surface lures any suggestions something i can pull into the lillys with out them getting stuck

Frogs. Spro Bronze eyes. Owt with the hooks coming out of the back and a large flat belly to land on the pads.

I use scum frogs, you can over cast them to the far margin, drag them back into the water,and away you go. Got a box set from America years ago.

Nice link Nixon. What style jig head are you using?

The type of frogs I use don't need a jig head, for their size,they're surprisingly weighty,got great casting ability. A gently flick sees them reaching the far bank. Then with the rod tip held up,give small upward taps to give the frog a slight hopping action. Seeing the wake coming right up behind the lure is fantastic.

must get some frogs they luck great fun and would open up a few waters i stop fishing in high summer due t the weed

Just shop around, I've seen people selling the ones I use for almost a tenner each. Amg= around 4quid a pop.
One thing I'll add, the ones I do use,they also make a popper version,I don't rate these too highly,as where the eye of the hook comes out the front of the lure,it lets a lot of water in,turning your lovely surface lure into a sub surface,which totally kills the action.

i've looked at them many times but my lack of debit card or paypal account makes internet shopping a real b*tch! (although its probably a good thing )

Me neither! looking forward to getting one though, I know it's not easy but sure it's massively rewarding if you get a take - not to mention scary as hell

Try a slopee pig - had many decent fish on these and the hook up rate is very good.
