Hello,

ive got a load of 15lb red ice that i bought for sea fishing. is there any reason why i cant use it for piking or carping (i have reels loaded with braid also).

should be alright for carping and piking just make sure you use a wire trace when piking mate

cheers mate, just meant as a mainline seeing as i have a load of it. the colour just seemed a bit garish and i could see it playing on my mind if i was blanking

na mate, the colour shouldnt matter, ive seen people fishing with yellow line, ive fished with blue line and ive float fished with red line which came with the angling paper

It will be fine Rich, I use red braid and I still catch a few fish so dont let red put you off. If you have braid on your other spools I would not bother with mono scratch
