233lb on a lure Measuring a whopping 247 cm long,this catfish was caught on a Savage Gear Freestyler lure in firetiger. The fish was caught on the Vransko lake near Pakostane and lucky angler is Zdravko Maðareviæ(yeah,I could'nt pronounce it either) Vransko jezero is the biggest natural lake in Croatia. It is 12 km long an 4 km wide, but relatively shallow, 4-5 meters tops. It is right next to the sea, there is a certain percentage of salt in the lake too. The lure was steady retrieved for pike, when this absolute giant hit it.This could for sure be the biggest catfish caught on spinning outfit in Croatia!
The Freestyler is Zdravko Maðareviæ’s main pike lure and Vransko lake has a great population of pike...shallow water full of weed

Wow, that some lure caught fish! Bet he knew he had that on!

thats a monster, i like catfish but wouldnt like one that big, i would be well freaked out if you pulled to the surface a 233lb catfish wouldnt you agree haha
