a few of my fish captures
Nothing to brag about I know..but...a fish is a fish...
I shall have to put one photo on at a time as photobucket keeps crashing every time I resize.
Ice fishing in Canada
This is my conger from Brean down
The guy with this thornback is my fishing buddy Tim (yes...were both called Tim)
This huge Ray came into Los Christianos habour every night we fished there, easily 5ft across.
The next few are from Chesil beach last summer, absolutely red hot, the mackerel cooked on the pebbles whilst we fished.
I felt it was my duty to take this one, glad the people in front did'nt turn around.
This ones from the rocks in Tenerife.
Ellerton park in Catterick Garrison, scruffy tw@t...
Bamburgh castle, the cannons to scale of my nob
From the beach at Dunbar.
These next ones are from Grasmere yesterday.
Minimalist fishing:
The indispensible Jetboil.
This is how shallow Semerwater is:
My jerkbait set-up:
These will do for the time being, dont wanna bore you guys too much.
Cheers

Re: a few of my fish captures
Hi brian, I like to keep things on a rather immature level if possible, Cant be arsed with trying to act my age.
I had other pictures, but kinda thought the guys wouldnt appreciate a shore crab hanging of my groin, or my hairy naked ass bent over in a nature reserve (gods sake dont ask).

Here's a few more from the weekend, managed 2 jacks to 6lb,a double run on a roach, and a joey mackerel. and a nice low double on lamprey section.
Excuse the odd face,I wa trying to tell my dad how to use the camera
I had no end of these bloody fresh water mussels all day long, no sooner had the bait hit the bottom of the lake, the mussles promptly latchec onto them. the feckers

Re: a few of my fish captures
Some nice pictures there Tim, it might be worth popping your baits off the deck to stop them mussels from latching onto your baits and just watch out how far you have the hooks apart on your baits, because pike generally swallow head first your top treble should never be and further than the mid section of your bait...it will stop pike from becoming deep hooked especially when they are on a serious feed at this time of year

Re: a few of my fish captures
Its maybe just the angle on the fish at the time, I had some pop up balls at the time, but having never used them before, was'nt too sure how to rig em up?

Re: a few of my fish captures
i use the pop up strips you can put them right down your baits throat to float them.

Just make sure that your bait is securely fastened to your hooks! You don't want Mrs Pike swallowing all that pop up stuff do you?

My Bait : GETTING OUT IF AND WHEN POSSIBLE...
Re: a few of my fish captures
My main concern when fishing is the safe return of every fish I catch, even if I have to bleed for my sins.

Re: a few of my fish captures
I use something similar to this when i put the foam down the throat i use the slow dissolving stuff its fish friendly or i attach some trace wire to the treble and the foam or i will feed it through the gills of the deadbait if its heid is still on, i have tried the ball hanging outside the fish method and havent had much joy on it.

Re: a few of my fish captures
I have a thing about getting my baits back, for obvious reasons (I am a tight fecker and I dont want to give pike a free meal) so if you make a loop of nylon (approx 6" in length) weaker than your main line and with a baiting needle put it through the root of the tail of your deadbait, you now have deadbait with a loop hanging from your deadbait, if you then thread your trace through the loop before you put the hooks in the fish, you will always get your bait back
