rig putty

ive got some rig putty that ive bought ive put it on some of my rigs but its still soft is it ment to be like that can some one plz give me some advice what i should plz i would be greatful confused

Firstly,Hi and welcome to the forum Wink
Im no expert on the whole carp scene,but,we'll try. What brand putty are you using? I use the gardner critical mass stuff,pretty hard when in its little packet,but once you start to move it round in your hands it soon softens up enough to be used on rigs,once in place,and cast into water,you find the cooler temperatures harden it up.
Some of the other carp lads will know more I guarantee.

as said it depends on the brand, i use the fox hi tungsten putty and that hardens after its cast out, krystons heavy metal is really soft until put into water so what putty are you using?

Most rig puttys hardern up when they are in cold water I use the Gardner putty my choice all the time
