Give it a crack dave - but like woody says braid will work far better for you than mono.

Nope I'm definately not a convert its just I quite fancy my chances when everyday I wake up look out of the window and see the canal and its easier to tell the missus I'm nippin out for an hour and not get any questions asked whilst the soaps are on. You lads know how it is haha, I can quite easily spool up on one reel with braid what would you recommend as cheap as poss though please since I only need one spool. Thanks lads

Power pro or whiplash for me. Ron Thompson do a half decent cheaper one. Think it's called web wire off the top of my head, generAlly though I would stick to Berkeley stuff if u can afford it.
