Re: quick question on helicopter/chod rigs
As you know I use the Chod a lot but I use it on weedy waters what’s the point of back leading on very weedy waters its something ells that can get caught in the weed or get weed on it and jam the tip ring. Slack line for me all the way

unless using the chod to fish over chod or weed then i'd say stick to your running rigs, in my ipinion they are far superior in many ways

Re: quick question on helicopter/chod rigs

i like them leads stotty. is that leadcore or tubing. the chod rig would be good at welham as its shallow and silty so your lead nearly always goes in the silt. i was going to change my running rigs because of it but i didn't bother and they still worked ok

Re: quick question on helicopter/chod rigs
cracking fish there mate no denying chody is good for singles but not in weed for me i would maybe use the hinged stiff rig i just like the security of knowing the lead can discharge unless you fish the chody so the lead can drop off

Its a BERKLEY SNIDE LEADER
The Berkley Snide Leaders are a sinking 25lb mono core that is sheathed by smooth, bond-coated, tungsten-fused polyurethane. they use them for fly fishing in the states
I like those leads as if you want you can put some light method on them as well I only use light leads for my chods
