bubble rig

Post by carper8030 on Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:01 am

hi all well this rig is abit odd not really a name for it you can use it in a number of situitions 1 if the fish are really shy to lines 2 if you fishing a really weedy venue and you find that one nice clear spot were the fish have been feeding alot 3 use it to fish on top of the weed with ya bait sitting there just right if shallow water.
this system is over sized for pic you can use for here in uk about 25 to 30mm diameter ball and is fine for long range fishing. this size is for abroad.

right down to setting up, use the same as you would on your normal fishing ie; hook link, lead set up use a clear leader put a rig stop on ya line (this is to adjust your depth with) then follow with a large bead (this is to stop the ball from running up your line)now you can put ya ball on (ya can use a marker float same thing but i dont like any colour above the fish when i think they are shy fish) and gin clear water the fish have seen it all before
right now you got a couple of choices you can put another bead on to stop the ball from dropping on ya lead or leave it as it is i tend to fish it like this less to adjust and i dont fish it that for out anyway .

this has just been put together for this post and for me there is still alot that can be done with it but if some of you boys or girls can use it for your fishing its here for you

i used this rig for a tricky spot on my club water and it worked you normaly carnt fish the spot most the fish go to it when water is pressured and no one can get to them. hope you can see the good in this rig and good luck with this yr.

sorry lads should say you can fish slack lines with it as the only line in the water is from ya lead to ya ball

i can see the good in it. i prefer a slack line but of course if you find a clear spot surrounded by weed it would be a bit tricky to present a bait there. this would solve that problem as the line is more or less vertical and then the main line is on the surface. a bit like a regular float set up but obviousley stepped up for distance and carp and it still a bolt rig, so yeah i can see it could work

good man more rep heading your way mate

And thats the complex version of what I was doing this week!

Half water filled float acted as the weight.

Big time back to basics for me.

This is good though - your rigs are well presented on here and good easy steps. Rep on!
