wormies for cats
hello everyone,
i do qquite a bit of sea fishing, loads of freshwater and a bit of catfishing, when i go sea fishing i have lots of bait left over such as lug worm, rag worm and squid.
i was what would be best, lug worm, rag worm, squid or halibuts, if anybody else has other ideas for baits could you please write it down because i would love to catch a catfish as they are amazing fish.
many thanks
tom

Re: wormies for cats
i've not been on the link to check if its on but salmon fillets is a very good catfish bait. salmon is expensive but you can also get a fairly big piece for cheap in morrisons. i've bought sections of salmon for less than £1 and got a few good sized baits out of it. i also started carp fishing with it as they were attacking the big pieces intended for the cats, i used to make boilie sized salmon balls by putting it in some ladies tites to stop it falling apart

Re: wormies for cats
i've still not had a cat yet so in that respect no but everytime i used it the carp had it away very quickley so it wasn't a fair test, i also had pike on the salmon fillets too, and when i started carping with it in the tites i also had pike on the canal with it and a nice bream too so its a deffinate fish catcher. get a piece next time you go shopping with your mum, just remember to be a good lad that day and i'm sure she'll give you a quid if you ask nicleynaquant wrote:lol did it work

Re: wormies for cats
got a little trick up my sleeve for the squid. i've got a little vibrating device thats about the same size as an AA batterie. i'm going to place it in the hood of the squid and fish it up in the water. i just need to make it fish friendly incase it gets away with the bait without getting hookedlongshot wrote:Squid is a good Catfish bait, so is Ox liver, Spam (half a tin at a time) and of course some boillies are quite good too.
