Korum inline feeders Empty Korum inline feeders

I was watching the last "fish-o-mania" and one of the guys that was commentating said that these were one of the best methods out there. So I have just bought a couple (what a tackle tart! ) and was wondering if any of you Carpers out there had given them a go and what you think of them?

I bought the in-line type as a lot of fisheries have banned the ones with the elastic.

If you found them good then please fell free to pass on any tips and if you found them to be crap then tell us why!
Cheers. 8)

:D yes ive been using them for a couple of years now, they work fine for me, just one bit of advice don,t build them up with too much ground bait, there ideal for carping and ive caught some nice fish on them :) and i like them in use with the air rig, also i tend to use a bead to stop the bowl smacking the swivell too hard :)

I push the swivel up into the feeder and use it semi-fixed! Wink

i would imagin by looking at them you couldn't cast far with them so really ideal for marginal work.

i prefer these Fox/Drennan inline feeders myself you can get a good amount of bait on and your whole bait presentation is more deseaving Twisted Evil

for all who don't know on this feeder if you can see the top pard is slightly more clearer than the rest, this is because it's not weighted and its the part where you place your hook bait the idea being when it drops in the water with it not been weighted like the other 2 your hook bait remains on the top for any unsuspecting carp.

It's weighted at the bottom so it always falls the right way up.

Yep there ok but there are more a match style feeder. We so called carp boys would use something a bit heavier something like this

Korum inline feeders Bait-Up-Method-feeder

it would not deliver the bait in the quantity and distance we some times require.

I used to do a lot of quiver tip fishing on commercial water years ago and I had my own recipes for method that worked very well I used a set up like this and it worked so well for me the secret ingredient in it was curry powder I stank like an East London takeaway but did it catch fish. i used this style feeder running
Korum inline feeders MethodCoilFeeder
Korum inline feeders Pic3

1) Main line ( 6-8lb )
2) spring method feeder
3) Bead
4) swivel
5) Hook link (3-4in) This needs to be a lighter breaking strain then the main line.

If you are going to use that make sure the line is up to the casting on method I would use 6-8 lb line and also on a feeder like that one you want the method quite dry.

used to like my method fishing could be very productive in indeed mind you ,you have to sit on your hand and wait for the run to go off as you get a lot of bleeps and line pulls as they hit the feeder to get the bait off

Well from what I've seen of Grafton, it should be OK. I just like to fish, not too bothered about the size. A double would be nice but it's not the end of the world if I blank. Wink
