zander from the ebro

just had 40 zander today to 12lbs, but the lad next to me had over 50 fish .they ranged from 0.5lbs to 15lbs.
The fishing has been superb for a while now
main baits have been small fish strips or lures but now the water has gone cloudy the lures have stopped working. unlesss scented. wil keep you posted. but fish strips are doing the nuts.

do you remember When John Wilson went to the Ebro his guide was struggleing with a large Catfish using only a rod with 18lb line that at the time he was trying to catch a Zander on and the cat took the lure.

it was a good catch often seen john brake his rods on even smaller fish. in the same location on the first drop i hhad a 154.00lber on light tackle.
those cats just dont know its a light rod but what superb fun.

very clean fish

all the fish that we catch are this clean mainly in deeper water winter fishing . last few days have been slower with fish in the single figures coming out. Not so many now as lots of colder water has come down so catches are down to about 15+ fish a day.

found a new location or two for zander guided a couple of lads caled andy and graham over the last week here are some of there fish.
