Too big is only a problem if you have to cast the lure. Casting I would say 10 to 12" max, but your makeing it hard for yourself, better at 6 to 8", far more controle on what your casting at. Trolling and you can get away with anything up to 2 feet, possably even bigger.

I know people Throwing 12inch swim baits for Large Mouth bass. Bigger the bait bigger the fish. My biggest bait that I will be using is 9inch.

The top one is 9inch. Have not tossed the 9inch yet. You can tell which baits I have got fish on.

Have you ever seen the red and white Rapalas that tackle shops have up in there windows that are about 3 ft long, my mate won one in a lure fishing comp, he tried to troll it on Windermere and it ran straight and true, but it was almost stopping the boat with the drag :lol: :lol: :lol: , his ar5e would have fell out if he had a take affraid affraid

yeh we got some from sovereign superbaits black orange yellow..... looked like they wer from ann summers ha ha
work well on out deep canals

Black and Yellow have been killers for me Danny, I rig them with 4oz Ownerjig head and an Eagle claw stinger, especially trolled Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

yeh its good fun if ya get the rite water..... but some times its a bit like pissin in the wind!! some days on venues that pike take chub to say 3-4lb u try big lures and not a sniff, wack a 6inch jerrys shad through the swims and they jump on it like u wouldnt believ Help Shark
