im gonna try and make a longer kebab with trace wire coverd in rig tubing do you guys think this could work a bit like a giant hair rig that way i could put loads of bait on rather than the 3 bits of makrill you get on the dyamite ones

i use a long bit of the fox kabab tubing stuff with a pair of singles on a trace and i hook one into a hole drilled in the bottom of the tube to hold that on and one nicked into one of the chunks of fish to hook the pike. just my suggestion (that doesnt mean its the best suggestion). i tried it hair rig style and just ended up with soggy lumps of fish all clumped up near the hook

as a rule i dont think so but on heavily fished waters or on days when they are laying up and not wanting to move much the fact that its something a bit new that they arnt so suspect of or the added surface area to leak maximum oils and scent could pay off. this is just what i recon and ive yet to proove or disproove my theories tho

I can see what Mick Brown was doing when he brought these out, however I am of the school of thought that if its not broken then dont fix it. If you want to put more scent in the water then take a slither of skin off your bait or when you cut your bait in half cut it at an angle so that there is more surface area Wink

It just like carp fishing every one tries to find a new tilt or a new edge but some time the old ways are better I have lost count of all the flash and silly carp rigs I have tied over the years yet the bog standard hair rig has caught all my big fish. but like a lot of those strange rigs i have caught on them and like this rig i have caught on this but my biggest pike came to a lure pale
