The small float is clipped onto the mainline in front of the rod tip and allowed to slide down until it sits on the water's surface. This is achieved very easily by pushing the weight in the base up to the main body, in practice it can be done with one hand. If you are using your rods 'beach caster style' the line biter is still active even if it is not in contact with the water. Obviously it is very visual, and due to the materials and balancing is virtually weightless on water, so it does not interfere with very sensitive bite indication or slack line set-ups. You will be amazed at the level of pre indication to a take you get when utilising the 'line biter' and it was amazing that it showed when fish were present in the swim, when otherwise you would have thought otherwise! The tell tale signs were little waves emanating from the bob, when sat on the water's surface, and quite often this happened a dozen or so times before a take occurred, so it does give you forewarning as to whether the fish are also getting away with it. A gizmo which will add a lot of fish to your tally, electrifyingly simple to use, but as so often the case a piece of bite indicator brilliance from the 'Solar Man'. Should be out now in the shops, if you have problems visit their website www.solartackle.co.uk they cost a mere £4.99 and deserve a full 5* vote! Comments: 4 |
