Get yourself down to Seaton Sluice Gary. There is some good sport to be had down on the rocks!

I used to fish there in the summer with an uncle that lived in Blythe. Sadly he has passed away now but fond memories!

From what they tell me its not what it used to be in fishing terms but then again i suppose that could be said of sea fishing in general.

The north east really aint the easiet of marks to fish, we fishes all the way from Saltburn pier, seal sands, Redcar, the Heugh at Hartlepool, south and North shields, Beadnell in Northumberland, The powerstation at Dunbar, aswell as the harbour and beach in Dunbar, and all we sem to catch are flatties, eels, rockling, whiting, pouting, and codling to maybe 1lb and sea weed, nothing of any size.
The best night we had was off north shields pier, between 3 of us we had over 60 whiting, fantastic sport, with a fish every cast.
If I cant catch it,It aint worth catching

yes a few of the lads who buy from us round here have been saying its been really poor so far this year for any sea fishing, trouble with these guys is they never tell you where the good marks are.

I bought a book a few years back called "top marks" what a load of bollocks that was, we fished almost all the north east marks aswell as the rest of the country, and the biggest fish we caught were the conger and the thornback ray from down in dorset.
We normally night fish,so a session of 12hours is normal for us,sometimes going even longer, and the most fish we come in contact with are the bait that we're using. So you can imagine this could get on a guys nervers after a while, hence me changing my quarry to pike, which to be fair are occasionally just as hard to locate.
But....if fishing was easy every one would be doing it. Its part of the reason we all go....for the challenge.

I think it only comes as a 14ft mate we can do a deal on them if you pm me but there are a lot of great alternatives a bit cheaper.
