Any one else catching bream???

We'v had loads of Bream recently on lures!!.....
more and more unsuall catches hav bin croppin here in the wild wild south west!!
any1 else gettin non-pikey catches wen pike fishing??

I cant do Bream but i can do pike on the feeder

ha ha i got a mate who match fishes and he's had a few jack's on corn..... bless em!

its nothing unusual i,ve had several bream while out zandering on small dead roach .
but i only seems to catch them towards the end of the season when they are getting ready to spawn i,ve always thought this is because they will feed on the fry like other species do

I have had roach while trolling for perch a few times, but never a bream, although my strangest catch so far came during the species hunt when I caught an eel while trolling just shows that a lot of fish will eat other fish....but pike get all the blame

How about Nixons Carp at the last social i know of quite a few that have come out on Lamprey

we have used small cubes of makeral for carp and they will readily take em

yep and the one in my pond loves a white bait i throw a few in for my cat

yeh we'v had loadsa big roach on rapala cd2.5's
good fun on ultra lites!!

yeh we'v caught bream using minnows tryin for perch, just caught loads recently on lures.... we had one on a micro burt, thats a 8inch pike/musky lure!! always good to hav the odd surprise turn up

It really is amazing how many fish wil take a lure, I have foul hooked Bream while trolling on the Shannon, Bream are nuts

tell me about it..... foul hook loads on our canals and drains!! tench 2.....

I bet tench go well when there foul hooked

yeh "F%£K me thats deffo a twenty pounder" thats the usuall response! then u see this small green slimey thing on ya hook yuk!!
