if they have gone on to his property and stolen his fish there is a lot the filth (police) can do or should ! his syndicate water is not a river, drain or canal it's his own private water

Add on to that as a predator angler, (guilty as above over the different groups not seeing eye to eye) I would be loath to see a set up where the removal of fish was banned as it would affect me using certain baits etc

yes there is a fine line to regard to using said fish as bait from the water they are caught to the removal of any fish away from the water .

i too have eaten pike when i was a nipper and like yourself noodle and many others i know have at least tried them or other species .

on most water you are legally allowed to take 2 fish on any given day under a particular weight and some club stress none what so ever as so do fisheries .

but the amount of fish taken from just the fenland drains is all ready having an impact and clubs are taking counter measures but with over a 100 square mile to police its an up hill struggle.
my own club has now listed in the new rules NO FISH TO BE TAKEN DEAD OR ALIVE what so ever even for bait on the water that is being fished this has been brought in to make it easier to catch any one taking any species of fish and have them prosecuted what ever there nationality.
now this will greatly affect my own fishing as i like to use fresh fish to catch my quarry THE ZANDER
but if it stops the removal of fish then i will adhere to the rules that the club have had to put in place i don,t like it but thats how its got to be and i can see it happening on my other waters as well .

but A LOT more does need to be done and getting the right bylaws changed and worded right is going to be tough to make every one happy .

the first change should be don,t let any more foreigners in the country and if that make me a racist TOUGH !! thats what i say this is an island

Imo it dont make you racist,prejudice or anything else for that matter,your a fellow angler thats fed up like the rest of us with either hearing of others mis-fortune of meeting a poles on a fishery or having to deal with it yourself,I have dealt with several of these f*ckers and will keep on dealing with them but this isnt gonna sort out the issue on a whole,I think there needs to be a comittee or group set up for this issue and this alone for anything to seem like its being done at all but where to start?!?!?I really dont have a clue to be honest,Is it something maybe we are just gonna have to sit back and watch and wait til our stocks are frittered away by people in our communities that are more than NOT welcome and Dan yes the law can do something but they just wont,its too bigger problem for them to do anything about or be bothered with it,ok they may find the odd pole bankside and tell them to f*ck off but will they patrol the next night and the night after that?!?I very much doubt it.

well they did prosecute for russian who were netting the river wissey and KLAA will want to prosecute as many as they can

Thats great to hear but a mere splash in the ocean when you consider how big this issue has got and how fast the issue has grown.

Petitions!!what a waste of time and effort,do they actually do anything?do they have an effect on the problems that plight our Sport..........nope!

Im up for direct action.

How many times have we read articles in the press about Imigrants stealing our fish,attacking our Anglers and killing our wildlife!!You could go on any forum or website and read articles about this problem all over the country,at seems to be on the increase.....Be honest though,what would you do if you were alone out on a session one day and yuo saw events like this taking place?ring the police(pointless,because the never turn up)ring the EA,(again pointless sames as previous)..would you confront 4 or 5 of them on your own?i`ve seen articels in the angling press about people being attcked..........something needs to be done to stop this NOW!but apart from watching our waters 24/7 this sort of activity is going to become more widespread and more and more Vilonce will follow.I think this could be a job for the A TEAM.......

I agree Tinc but I have in the past asked them to move on. The othere week me and Todd were fishing the Canal, waiting for Woody and his dad to arrive. When three rather foreign (and before you all start, you know that they look different to the locals!!!) looking gentlemen walked past us and down to the river. Now Todd is a big lad like myself but he is a bit too quick to get into trouble if you know what I mean and before I could stop him he was up and after them on his own. I sat there a bit and let him but after a while I went to look for him as he was in my care so to speak! When I got to the river he was at one side of the bridge trying to tell the bloke that he couldn't fish there as it was closed season. At my side of the bridge there were the other two. I walked onto the bridge and took photo's of them all, quite openly and so they could see I was doing it. I then asked them if they could speak English because Todd's version is a bit hard to understand!

One of them answered me and I told him he couldn't fish the river because it was closed until the 16th of June. He told me his friend had told him he could if he was spinning. I said it was a load of crap and if they didn't F**k off I would call the authorities and show them the pictures. They agreed to leave the river and came up onto the canal but soon got board and left. No doubt they will have been back but if we all take a little time to speak to them and educate them we can make a difference. I know what you are saying about the violence and I wouldn't have threatened them with the Police if I had been there on my own but Todd and myself could have probably given the three of them a good kicking and we knew two other anglers were on there way too, so it was the way to go. I didn't get into all the "have you got a licence" thing as they never have. i just told them to leave and after a while they did.

There could be one way in which you could get them to stop,its only an idea mind,you could have a poster made thats recognised all over the UK and send it to factories to be displayed in there canteens,I have seen this done before for other reasons when I was a driver for an agency taking these people to and from work.
