Baitrunner maintenance
Hi guys,I have 2 shimano baitrunners that are in desperate need of a service,any of you guys know any tips or any links on how to do this?one of the baitrunner systems are stiffening up...or seem to be,any help would be great guys,cheers.

take it to your local tackle shop mine services reels i'm sure your will do !

I take it you never seen the inside of a shimano nor serviced one?lol

yup been through em all inc the big baitrunners which make the areo's look like old abu's
honestly its not that hard the only problem you will find is if your heavy handed its fairly easy to snap the spring that disengages the bait runner mechanism
if its only stiff a quick open with just the side plate off will enable you to squirt some soft grease in put it back together leave it in the sun or somewhere warm and the grease will soften up nicely and make a tricky job easy
failing that just open the side up enough to get a suitable (teflon, or ptfe not wd 40) spray lube inside in fact i think you can do that from the rear drag area ill pull one apart later and let you know
