I use the Palomar all the time! Such an easy yet strong knot. Wink

Is the uni knot a sliding knot?

Would it work ok for hook in loop fishing?

no t sure i understand your question, the uni knot tightens down to the eye of the hook, and if you mean will it be ok for tying a loop so you can attach you hooklength to your main line via "loop to loop method" then no it would not be a suitable knot for that you want to be looking at the drop loop knot ! thats the one !

sorry if i didn't fully understand your question hope this helps you.
