my best day ever &a new pb

Fished the breaking surfaece big boys social today at bradshaw fisheries no2 lodge....had 16 carp-13doubles 3 singles...new pb to 16lb 4oz.Heres a few i had...loads of video footage soon to.Inc my double hook up in the middle of torrential rain....big thanks to boltontony my carp guru for helping me tweak the rigs for a proper red letter day.

well done mate some pearlers there fella and welldone on the pb

well in joel, your getting hooked on this carping malarky..... weldone mate on your pb for staying out in the crap weather, just goes to show that the down pours do some times stir the odd surprises up.......

Can you even remember what a pike is
The carp fishing thing got me the same, even tho I dont get to fish much, Ive not piked for a few months,and even then blanked.
So on getting out, changing your species, even if its temporary
3rd fishes mouth looks well and truly mangled up, knob end anglers about.

thanks chaps...hopefully many more days like that to come...will def be switchin back to pike in october though.then back to carp the following spring

no to be honest...started to get a bit bored of piking & wanted to try summat new this summer,was gonna try for barbel,But some mates who go carping took me surface fishing for em on some club ponds...had a few & could'nt believe how crafty they are to catch...so i decided carp it is....till october that is.
