Majestic Catch Report Thread!!!
All the guy's who went to majestic can you please post any pic's and your report in here just so we can keep it tidy
Well were back from Majestic and what a cracking little lake it really is, Before we got there we had already done the draw for peg's but things went a little different when we saw we had peg's spare, as we got there on friday morning me and Ady (woodchucker) took a walk around and got familiar with our swims and began to build a plan on how we were going to attack this lake Ady from the word go had a fantastic looking swim and deffo had fish around i myself found my swim to be a bit more of a challenge and wasn't really happy with it but i was going to give it ago non the less.
So the way i was going to fish was using the method feeder mainly due to the heavy weed which was out in front of me, after firing out the marker rod i quickly summed up the depth 8.5ft and found some clear patches in the weed where i carefully placed my baits the method mix i was using was odyssey xxx pellet soaked and moulded around the feeder simple really.... then on my third rod i cast to the reeds the left of me as the day went on i wasn't getting any interest at all and was feeling a little doom and gloom as Ady (woodchucker) had a number of fish out upto 14lbs around midnight Ady was into a fish and at the time he knew he was fighting a good fish and shouted me over he thought it was 17lbs i new it was bigger but didn't say we weighed the fish at 21lbs 8oz a new majestic lake record Danny (fletch) had given Ady(woodchucker) permission to name the fish and he named it (woody) a cracking looking fish in anyones eyes well done Ady, soon after that i went and got my head down and was awoken by a screaming run at 5am i ran out and could see it was my marjin rod so struck into the fish and was playing it for a few minutes and then disaster the fish had thrown the hook i was gutted as it was the only fish i had on since been there, so i decided to up sticks and move peg's as i really wasn't happy so i took the spare peg in the corner.
5am i was packing my gear up and moving swims eventually i got sorted and cast my bait out which was nothing to complicated small pva bag of pellet and then scattered a few around the area i was fishing small bait's tipped with false corn were working brilliantly come 9.30am i was into my first fish and landed a cracking looking 10lb mirror sadly no pic this time as i was talking to Danny & Gaz and didn't think to take one but ther was more chances to be had a couple hrs later on Danny had come back and i poped to the next peg to see Gaz and and i got another screaming run i ran back to my peg and was into my second Majestic Mirror Danny came over and gave me a hand to land it and weighed it at 10lbs on the mark

Thanks for taking the pic's Danny as you can see these fish are in pristine condition and are a credit to the lake
Well it wasn't long after that and i was into another fish but sadly i lost it as it threw the hook , fish were popping up everywhere this time i managed probably the smallest fish in the lake and we didn't bother to weigh it but it was about 5/6lbs didn't bother with a picture either but take my word for it handsome looking carp for the smallest.
darkness was getting apon us and light was fading and i was catching yes fish were falling to the method i had adopted and and the areas i was baiting, i was taking in my surrounding's and my alarm screamed off something which i noticed out of all the fish i caught they were all single toners this fish was no different to the rest of them extremely good looking and a pleasure to catch and this was my reward 11lb Mirror

Thanks for taking the Pic Gaz.
Well i decided to get my head down and it was late i had the odd knock here and there but nothing to get my pants in a twist, then come 01.50 i has another screamer and this fight seemed to have gone on for ever as it was trying to nestle is self into the weed but i managed to land it with no assistance and banked a 14lb mirror cracking looking fish too shame everyone else was a sleep would have loved to have had a pic with it but out came the phone

i didn't get anything else through the night and as morning came and we wer all packing up to go home i made my final cast and sat down to have a fag before i reeled in the rods and the alarm went roaring off i was on it like a rash .... 8lb mirror very welcomed just before i went home too

I didn't do too bad could have had more fish out i thought if i had gone in that swim from the start but you can't help these things but was deffo worth moving all my gear
I can't wait to get back there and winter will be interesting looking forward to giving it a shot then.

this place was stocked 3 months ago and NO 20's were put in but yet 6 different 20's have come out since stocking it the fish are putting on weight "QUICKLY"
Dan's joined the site so no doubt he'll give more input on the fish ... "Fletch"

Re: Majestic Catch Report Thread!!!
ace report dan mate, how come you didn't post the picture of the upper 2 that i helped net for you
well my report aint as interesting as Dans or what woodys will be - i arrived about 8pm on the friday after a week from hell with work, so was so chuffed to just be there and relaxing so after getting set up and sorted i went into Dean and craigs swim for a mini social,in this time i had my first run but unfortunately lost the fish in the weed.Anyway about 1 am i called time on the social and went to my bivvy, during the short walk to the bivvy i realised how ''tired'' i was so for fish safety and my own peace of mind wound in for the night
Over the course of the next 24 hours i managed to lose another 5 fish but banked one a lovely 10lb ish mirror, thanks to dan for helping out with that one.
An absolutely top weekend in my eyes, lovely lake and top mates to fish with, next time i'll adjust my tactics to cope with the situation,i don't seem to be as motivated with my fishing at the moment and prefer it to be chilling time rather than catching time
chuffed that a mate of mine and a ukff member has the lake record, thanks for the company lads and thanks to Danny for being a top bloke with a top lake
