majestic pool ,what can i say BLANKETY BLANK !
well i called in to see how are nidge was doing ,and to pick up my solar banksticks buzz bars and stabilizers TARTY,cheers nidge for getting them for us mate ,they did look the mutts ,then called for craig ,and we were off pulled up at majestic around 4 and had a wander round to see dan ,woody and jimmy who were set up on the far bank , handshakes all round a quick natter ,and back to the van for our gear
Me and craig chose to fish the first peg you come to as you walk in as it was a double peg and looked very nice ,so we got set up and the rods out in the water ,i chose to fish tight to an overhanging tree with a pva bag of pellets and crushed boilies with a boilie hook bait ,and the other rod just out in the water in front of me with a halibut pellet and fake corn also fished with pellets , well rods out and in true ukff style the beers were cracked open ,shortly after we were joined by gazh and tess the dog who had set up in peg to our left,we sat and chatted then dan came over for a natter and a special fag (cheers jimmy )
Now feeling more than chilled out we chatted the night away ,when then craigs margin rod went off ,he was in ,but unfortunatly after quite a battle with what could of been a fair fish it was off (unlucky mate ) but hopes were now high in thinking at least we had fish in our swim ,so we sat back and enjoyed some more jimmy goods ,now more chilled than ever we called it a night ,it was at this point as i was just drifting into that happy place (you know what i mean )when beeeeeeep my alarm went off ,up i jumped out of the bivvy AND BANG straight into my chair and landed on my face,up i get to see a helpless craig rolling round in his bivvy wishing he had his camera on i wouldn't mind i had kept saying i was gonna move it so i wouldn't fall in the night .
Well the night was quiet ,and so was the following day for our swim ,and by the time evening was back around me and craig had devised a new fishing technique ,yes it is the world of micro spinning ,this involved using my float rod and free lining 2 rubber maggots with a tiny dropper shot on it ,you should have seen those little perch nail it ,we even had a small jack flashing around in jimmys swim ,i will be giving tutorials in this new found sport at the next social if you would like to book a lesson (ask woody and jimmy who addictive it is )
After our little bit of entertainment it was back to our tactics for the night ahead ,only a few changes to bait and rigs ,but cast to same points ,but unfortunatly the night was quiet again ,with not so much as a beep ,so up in the morning and all packed up , i had a wander with woody along the river that ran at the back of the venue ,and he cast a few lures out ,nothing to show though ,so we toddled back and said our fairwells ,then me and craig went back on the river for a bit ,but still no fish came .
So all in all not a good weekends fishing ,but some more time on the bank gaining experience in hunting the bigger species ,and a top time had with the boys ,doin what we do best thanks for a good weekend boys oh and also (ask dan and woody )

glad all you lads enjoyed the lake.
i managed to have a nights fishing on the lake last night too.
my first night on there since we opened, i also decided to give our new majestic boilies there first outing on the lake.
ended up landing 5 fish all on the new bait too. smallest i had was 10lb 10oz and the biggest was 16lb 11oz
