Re: Majestic Catch Report Thread!!!
What a weekend, Dan met me at my houes at about half eight in the morning and a quick stop at the tackle shop and we where soon at Majestic lake, the pegs had already been drawn and I was on peg 5 and I was a very happy man as it was a nice fishy looking swim.

I have been using a bait called Lobster and Maple from The Bait Kitchen and it is a bait thats working for me at the moment so I decided to fish it on all 3 rods tipped with fake corn, I had a large bank of weed in front of me so I decided to try a method feeder in front of the weed and two large pva bags with mixed stickybait pellets and pineapple maze with crushed boilies to make a tempting meal for the carp as they are fed pellet so anything else would have ben a waste.
My first fish came at about noon and was to one of the pva bags, the fish scrapped well and went 12lbs so I switched all rods to pva bags, I also moved my pags for the evening session, I now had a bag directly in front of me in fron of the weed bed, the second rod was cast to a channel that ran up and down the right hand side of the lake, the final rod was cast tight into the reeds to my right hand side, I then walked around and hand balled a large amount of the bag mix over the baits and settled for the evening, my far right rod in the reeds was the first to go just after tea time and was another nice fish of 14lbs, at approx 11pm I had another fish to the middle rod at 13lbs and I was now enjoying the fishing.

I rebaited the the swin with another bag and more pellet over the top and settled into the night, at 12 midnight I had a screaming run on the right hand rod again, I lifted up into the fish and it felt a similar stamp to the other fish, all the lads were at the bottom end of the lake so I steadily played the fish and landed with ease, as I went to lift the fish out of the water I then knew it was a good fish, so I called for Dan to aid with the weighing and pictures, as I lifted the scales with Dan looking over my shoulder the scales settled on 21lbs 8oz a new lake record and I was chuffed to bits, forgive the pictures as Dan was a little past his best.
Danny the owner has said I can now name the fish so WOODY is now a target fish.

And a picture that would have been nice if me and the fish had been on it fully.

The rest of the weekend was a bit of a blur but I did manage another couple of fish fro rods in the same spots at 12lbs and 11lbs.

We packed up at dinner on Sunday and we all had a great time, Gaz and dan had both had fish but I am sure the other lads cant complain as the venue is very pretty and quiet and Danny is a great lad, even lending me a head torch as I had forgotten mine, will I be back, YES!!!
