Sit on it he said!!!!!!!

I learned a very valuable lesson this weekend regarding the old carp lark, after sitting for nearly five and a half hours with a bait out on a lily pad i was thinking about changing over to another bait and god forbid!!! a different rig. Im not used to sitting on a bait for such a long time or sitting on a bait at all for that matter, anyway i think the wise old Mr stott could see the twitching in my fingers (probably from the chianti on friday night) and proceeded to tell me about sitting on a bait for a period of time, he explained that it had been boated out and was sitting perfectly as the ducks had not been in and raped my swim and told me he had often left a bait out for upto 48 hours at a time the words had just left his mouth when i got the screaming run that resulted in a new pb, so well done stotty and next time i go carping im only taking a handful of boilies instead of bucketfulls CONFIDENCE in his ability is what stotty has and i think i might just have learned a little bit myself.

There is a time and a place for casting about but as I knew that spot would produce as I had had the feeder rod on it in the morning and the bait was boated out I knew it was 110% every venue is different but as I said at the time if your 110% happy leave it.
