I do like my fishing tackle lads and have one or two rods at home Innocent Whistle , nbut I have to say that its all about lures and how you use them for me, £500 reels and rods will never catch you more fish, but you will look better catching them Cool Smoking

The amount of money I've spent in the last 8 years on total s**t gear, which subsequently has been binned due to cheapness and inability to handle the riguers I put stuff thru, I figure I may aswell buy some decent kit, which will last a long time.

My full jerkbait setup cost about £170 including braid and a trace, not that exspensive really. Evil or Very Mad but it will cast any lure I will ever buy and land any fish I will ever hook, because its well balanced geek Wink

I am a proper lure tart but on a standard day on the river bank I only take about 10 lures now, which will always include 2 cobbs countdowns, at least one bulldawg, a spinnerbait, a replicant a dunwright pike, a large copper spoon and a flipper bait Wink
